1) Attend NMEAC’s forum on biomass burning Monday, February 22, 6:30 P.M. at the Traverse Area District Library featuring Dr. Rachel Smolker to get the skinny on whether or not biomass and biofuels are really renewable energy.

2) Be heard at TCLP’s forums on biomass burning Thursday, February 25 at 7:00 p.m. at the City Opera House and Saturday, February 27, 2:00 p.m. at the Hagerty Center. TCLP claims if there is strong community opposition they will drop their plans for biomass plants through they have hired a marketing firm to sell biomass plants to community leaders.
